First, I started by making a color palette inspiration board, which Meg approved, allowing me to proceed with my ideas. Here was that first board:

After this, Meg and I met up to talk about the style of shoot she wanted to do for the launch of her blog. We pulled dozens of images off her favorite websites and created two inspiration boards that were then sent to our “model”. I also started to work on the logo for Meagan Nicole Photography – and we met up to have a session of Meg (to use for her about photos and all around brand images).

I then began working on the layout of her WordPress site, created business cards, thank you cards and her pricing/contract pdfs. We had lessons on how to blog correctly, how to interact with clients and talks about how to attract your ideal client.

Now to what we did. Basically, Steven Courtney needed some re-branding and after 24 years of different ideas and looks we decided that we were going to simplify them down to a cohesive brand. We based the brand around simplicity, bright colors and his new album “A Million Smiles to go.” The album features a few new songs as well as some of his most classic characters that are coming out retirement. This blog is to highlight how the branding worked on the web. We have designed toys, albums and other things that we will be talking about in a later post.

It is always really fun when someone you know asks you to design something for them because you know what colors, design styles and goodies they like. Well – that’s what happened when I was asked to design the new video portfolio for Brooke’s brother, Taylor. Taylor is an amazing videographer and has a great eye for capturing weddings on video.

Taylor is a big fan (understatement of the century) of John Mayer, as well as simple/sleek design. I tried to incorporate both elements into the site. We used a similar color scheme to John Mayers Continuum with the blues and grays, which also helped to keep the site guy looking. Overall it was a really fun project to work on. You should check out Taylors videos because they are awesome!

Welcome to the new design site of Brooke and T.J. Mousetis! Brooke and I are very excited about this new business venture of ours and look forward to designing your wedding invitations, logos, business cards and whatever else you may need. Brooke has been a wedding photographer for five years now and after designing everything for our wedding she has been designing other couple’s invitations! She is a supreme designer. If you want clean, bold, awesome wedding invitations, then you’ve come to the right place!

I started designing in high school when I was in a band, an awful band. I designed some of our shirts and “CD” covers. I use that term loosely because, well, I was the singer and not that talented. Over four years ago I started my own business venture called walk in love. clothing and that is really when I fell in love with designing. After college I worked as a graphic designer for a stationery and gift company, but really wanted to do something I truly love! So, I called it quits and jumped in full time with Brooke doing photography, walk in love clothing and design!

Brooke and I both have a passion to serve the God through the creative gifts he has given us. Expect to see a lot of new blogs soon as we put together all the invitations, t-shirts, and other design things we’ve done in the past!
